We’re excited to announce that Shaun Crawford will be coming to the Museum to teach a workshop on June 8, 2024!!
This is a very special opportunity to learn from a world class artist away from our Fall Miniature Show.
The workshop is from 10am to 3pm and Space is limited!
$88 members, $90 non-members
Bring your basic kit!
Ruler, pencil, tweezers, sandpaper, toothpicks, Tacky glue, X-acto knife, sharp scissors, alligator clips/small clamps, emery boards, and a cutting mat.

Miniature Landscapes (Family to Adult)
Come make a tiny landscape with us!
Use natural materials to create an outdoor scene you can take home in this creativity-oriented workshop. All materials provided, no experience needed.
Suggested for individuals age 7 and up; younger miniaturists are welcome with an adult assistant..
All children must be accompanied by an adult present in the museum.
$15 non-member, $10 member

Train Swap Meet- Come say "Hello!"
This is not our event, but we’ll have a table! Come say hello! We’ll be answering questions and talking about our collaboration with Platte Valley and Western Rail Road
The Model Railroad and Toy Train Swap Meet is held the third Saturday of odd numbered months.
This means January 20th. The door to the public opens at 8 AM. Typically by 10 AM the activity is over.

Doll Gathering
Winter Doll Social & Behind the Scenes
Join us for a winter doll social! Visit with your fellow doll collectors, make new friends in the doll community, and enjoy light refreshments. Dolls are welcome at this event, so bring a favorite doll friend to share or for photo ops.
Interested in learning more about the museum’s plans for the future? For a nominal fee, join a guided tour of our back rooms and upper floor. Learn about our plans for building renovations and future exhibits as we make more of our building accessible to the public.
Even though the social is a free event, we ask that you RSVP so that we may properly staff this event. Backstage tours are $3 per person. Backstage tours are limited to adults only. Regular admission will be charged to those who do not RSVP

Add a little magic to your winter with a darling Holiday Door!
Each attendee will be assembling and decorating a door. We’ll provide the door and various decorations. Guests are welcome to bring additional decorations.
This workshop is designed with creativity in mind, and is fun for multiple age groups. This workshop is open to all ages, however young artists will need a hand.

Polymer Clay: Mini Mosaics
In this 2-hour class, participants will learn to make miniature mosaic tiles from polymer clay, and then tile a miniature table or stepping stone.
Registration is required.
This class is intended for teen to adult participants; younger attendees are welcome with an adult. All tools and necessary materials will be provided.

Join us for a Monster High-themed Halloween bash! Enjoy spooky refreshments, decorate doll-sized masks, and make a fashion handbag for your doll out of surprising materials. Once your doll’s accessories are finished, take pictures in our Halloween ball photo booth!
We’re celebrating Halloween early with our monstrously magical masquerade, so feel free to come in costume, and bring your doll in costume, too! All types of dolls are welcome, so be sure to indicate the size of your doll when reserving tickets.
